WWE Releases New Bray Wyatt Merchandise

WWE has released new merchandise for former superstar and longtime fan favorite Bray Wyatt (real name Windham Rotunda), who was unexpectedly let go from his contract just over four months ago back on July 31.

The new piece of merchandise is a Wyatt Holiday POP! Vinyl Figure that glows in the dark. The figure is wearing a Santa Claus hat, red gloves, red and white pants and a green jacket and shoes.

Wyatt was known to be a top merchandise seller in WWE, so it's not surprising to see WWE releasing more stuff relating to his character amid the holiday season. His 90-day non-compete clause expired back on Oct. 29, so the 34-year-old is free to sign with another promotion whenever he wishes.

Wyatt's friend, Jason Baker, recently revealed that the two were starting up work on a movie that would commence filming in November. Dave Meltzer reported last month that AEW actually had plans to bring Wyatt in, but he wasn't ready to sign just yet as he'll be occupied with the film project.

Several reasons were reported for WWE's decision to release Wyatt, including budget cuts and attitude issues. Vince McMahon reportedly came to dislike Wyatt because the latter was apparently openly critical of WWE creative.

That said, his release came as a massive surprise given his strong popularity and body of work, having spent several years in the main event scene.

Bray Wyatt's Final WWE Match & Appearance

Wyatt had been kept off of WWE television for nearly four months leading up to his release. His last match with the company took place at WrestleMania 37, where he lost to Randy Orton after Alexa Bliss betrayed him. Wyatt's final WWE appearance took place on the post-WrestleMania 37 episode of Raw on Apr. 12. In a "Firefly Fun House" segment, Wyatt announced that he was seeking a fresh start.
